Blenniella chrysospilos, known as Red-spotted blenny , it's a small/medium blenny. These blennies are one of the most colorful blennies out there. Its color depends on its origin. Its base color varies from pure white to greyish, with small and large spots, generally red, but sometimes more orange or brownish. Some fish also have interrupted horizontal stripes on their bodies.

These fish inhabit shallow reefs where they live alone in areas rich in algae. In an aquarium, they are reef safe and are great algae eaters. They are quite territorial, so it is best to place them as one of the last fish in the aquarium and only in an aquarium large enough to form a territory and leave room for the other fish. Don't combine them with other blennies unless you have a very large aquarium with lots of hiding places. They feed mainly on algae and if there is little algae in the aquarium, high-quality algae flakes or pellets should be supplemented!
