Salarias ceramensis, known as Seram blenny, is a medium-sized blenny very similar to the better known Salarias fasciatus. The best way to tell them apart is by the row of dark spots on the side of S. ceramensis and the darker belly and chest compared to S. fasciatus.
These fish often live solitary in dead corals in muddy bays and lagoons where algae are abundant. They may be best kept alone or with a pair. They feed mainly on algae and can be best fed with high-quality algae flakes and pellets, even if there is algae in the aquarium!
